Application of Triple Junction GaAs solar cells
Gallium arsenide solar cells refer to solar cells which made of gallium arsenide (GaAs) as a substrate. Compared with silicon photovoltaic cells, GaAs solar cells have the advantages of light weight, bend-ability, good temperature resistance and high photoelectric conversion efficiency, and are widely used in many fields such as electric vehicles, aerospace and photovoltaic power generation. According to the different structure, gallium arsenide solar cells can be divided into multi-junction GaAs solar cells and single-junction GaAs solar cells.
In terms of product segmentation, multi-junction GaAs solar cells account for a relatively high market, and Triple Junction GaAs solar cells are its representative products. The structure of the three-junction GaAs solar cell consists of three layers: the bottom layer of reverse P-type GaAs, the top layer of P-type GaAs and the middle layer of N-type GaAs. Compared with single-junction GaAs solar cells, the Triple Junction GaAs solar cells have the advantages of strong anti-radiation ability and high photoelectric conversion efficiency, and can be used in space applications.
Triple Junction Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Solar Cell is a kind of high-efficiency solar cell, which has the characteristics of high conversion efficiency, irradiation resistance and high voltage. The Triple Junction GaAs solar cells are widely used in space power supply. Due to its radiation resistance and high voltage characteristics, this kind of solar cell has significant advantages in the field of artificial satellites, space stations, space probes and landing probes. TJ GaAS solar cells are also used for household solar power generation and the construction of large-scale solar power plants. Its high efficiency and stability make it ideal for solar power generation, helping to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources while reducing carbon emissions and energy costs. In addition,TJ GaAs solar cells are also used in microwave integrated circuits, infrared light-emitting diodes, semiconductor lasers and so on.
